Teresa Durá Branson
Teresa Durá Branson was born in Spain during the Spanish Civil
War. She trained at the "Art College of St. Carlos" in Valencia.
In 1959 she moved to London to further training and in 1964 she moved to Scotland, where she has remained.
Since moving to Kirkcudbright in 1970, she has held several
successful exhibitions of her own, and has participated in many joint
ventures with
other artists.
Through her work, her aim is to convey her personal perception
of life and nature's mystery. Her motivation comes from feeling the awe,
wonder and emotion, springing from nature's mystical moods.
Unconcerned with either "style or medium", she strives to achieve in each
of her paintings the essence of her inspiration.
