Derek Wightman

Born in South Manchester and following a long career in advertising and art Derek retired from Wilmslow in Cheshire and moved to Kirkcudbright in 1999.

Working in oils, acrylics, watercolours and lately pastels, he gains inspiration from the landscape, buildings and "interesting corners."

Having previously shown at exhibitions in Cheshire, he recently has had work displayed at Kirkcudbright exhibition venues; The Tolbooth and The Harbour Cottage Gallery.
