Barstobrick Equestrian Indoor Recreation Centre
Barstobrick Equestrian Indoor Recreation Centre is run by a management committee of individual members and representatives from some of the clubs which are members. Facilities include : 60m x 25m indoor arena, Sand and rubber surface, Lights, members room, loos and an Outdoor warm up arena.
BEIRC run competitions as do the member clubs. The ridden competitions are open to BHS, affiliated riding and pony club members. Money made by BEIRC through these competitions is used to improve and maintain the facilities. Visit the Website
Lochhill Stud Farm, Equestrian and Trekking Centre
At Lochill, near Ringford, you will find everything for the holiday rider. As well as high quality self-catering cottages within the farm buildings, there is accommodation for your horse if you wish to bring it with you. Or you can select one from the many on the farm just to suit your needs.
Lochhill offers both group and private riding lessons in their floodlit arena, advanced lessons, and daily hack-outs. If you fancy some carriage driving, there are both horses and ponies available, and lessons can be arranged.

Cally Horse Route
The Cally Horse Route is a lovely year-round trail, around 3 miles long contained within the Cally Wood on the outskirkts of Gatehouse of Fleet
About Cally Wood
This mixed broadleaved woodland maintained by the Forestry Commission accessed from the entrance avenue to the Cally Palace Hotel at the eastern edge of Gatehouse of Fleet. In this tranquil woodland the cares of the world seem to drop away as you become immersed in its peaceful beauty. There are also three superb waymarked walking trails to follow of varying lengths from 1 to 3 miles. Brighouse Bay Trekking
Brighouse Bay Trekking has been established since the 1970's and is adjacent to the five star Brighouse Bay Holiday Park
They offer trekking, hacking and tuition on trustworthy native ponies from experienced and qualified staff. Most of their ponies are Highlands - sure footed and safe ponies who instil confidence in their rider.
Brighouse Bay Trekking is approved by the TRSS (Trekking and Riding Society in Scotland) and is annually inspected to meet their high standards.
