dye-painting, construction, quilting and machine embroidery.Jo Gallant with textile panel at Dumfries Tourist Information Centre
Influenced by the surrounding landscape and a love of colour and texture she creates original designs using richly dyed velvets, cottons silks and organzas. As well as having her work on display and for sale, she is happy to discuss special orders and commissions. She has also carried out a number of large scale public commissions.

"Ironstones" is over 400 years old. It was built as a wedding gift by Lord McLellan for his daughter Elizabeth, with stones from Castledykes and ship's ballast. In the 1960s it was rescued from dereliction by Donald Rudd who restored it and turned it into a private house.
