BIKERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME IN KIRKCUDBRIGHT.

Kirkcudbright is becoming an increasingly popular destination for bike club outings, both from the Central Belt of Scotland and from the North of England.

In general the roads of Dumfries and Galloway are in excellent condition, certainly better than in many other districts.  There are several scenic routes following the coastline and some exciting, character building, runs through the Galloway Hills towards New Galloway and Carsphairn.

Lunch at the Royal

Several of the hotels in Kirkcudbright offer bar lunches which are very good value for money. In particular the Commercial Hotel serves good portions of excellent food at very reasonable cost. Space is limited though so arrive early.

The Royal Hotel across the road, and the Selkirk Arms Hotel in the Old High Street (on your left coming into Kirkcudbright from the A711 shore road by Dundrennan) also make bikers very welcome.
